Empowering communities from within

At Neighborhood Hope Dealerz, we recognize that marginalized communities, particularly those of color, face significant barriers to accessing the resources and services they need to thrive. These barriers often stem from systemic racism and discrimination, which have led to a significant disparity in funding and resources between nonprofits serving these communities and those serving more affluent communities.

This lack of funding and resources can have devastating consequences for nonprofits serving marginalized communities. Without the necessary resources, these organizations struggle to provide essential services and support to their communities, leading to increased poverty, poor health outcomes, and other negative impacts.

Furthermore, the lack of funding also makes it difficult for community-based nonprofits to attract and retain skilled staff, which can lead to high turnover rates and a lack of continuity in services. This instability can further harm the communities they serve.

Neighborhood Hope Dealerz is dedicated to addressing this critical need by providing the resources and support that community-based nonprofits need to succeed. We understand that these organizations are best equipped to serve their communities when they have the necessary resources to do so. By providing expert consulting, fundraising, and strategic planning services, we are empowering nonprofits to reach financial sustainability, which will lead to greater continuity, stability and impact in their service delivery.

Our goal is to support nonprofits to create a more equitable and just society. We believe that by working together, we can help to create stronger, more resilient communities and break down the barriers that prevent marginalized communities from accessing the resources and services they need to thrive.

About Founder and CEO

Mack, a native New Yorker with a dynamic background in business management, is a catalyst for change and a relentless advocate for marginalized communities. He began his professional journey in the music industry, leveraging his marketing skills and pioneering the use of social media for advertising. However, it was Mack's burning desire for meaningful work that led him to dedicate himself to his community.

In 2010, he embarked on a transformative career transition into social services, working as a foster care planner and champion for children and families in both New York City and Austin, Texas. For eleven years, he stood at the forefront of social justice, ensuring that the marginalized were heard. This commitment was further underscored when Mack pursued his M.S. in Nonprofit Leadership from Fordham University in 2017.

A significant chapter in Mack's advocacy story is his collaboration with Justice League NYC, a leading social justice organization. Under its banner, Mack honed his skills as a community organizer, advocating for reformative policies and amplifying the voices of the underrepresented. His commitment to change prompted him to join the board of directors at GoodCall, where he currently serves as Board Chair, advocating for their initiative to offer free legal support to individuals during emergencies. Mack’s work with these organizations provided a unique blend of activism and on-the-ground service, reinforcing his commitment to tangible change.

His leadership journey saw him assume roles such as the Executive Director of the Long Beach Martin Luther King Center and the Director of Development at Newark Symphony Hall. Each position allowed him to drive transformative initiatives and champion fundraising efforts.

In 2022, Mack unveiled Neighborhood Hope Dealerz, an innovative strategic planning community with a mission to empower local organizations in marginalized communities. He envisions a comprehensive system that brings about large-scale positive change.

May 13, 2023, marked the release of Mack's influential book, "Neighborhood Hope Dealerz: Empowering Communities from Within." The book provides deep insights into systemic oppression, offering solutions that place communities at the forefront of their own development.

In his latest role as the Director of Development at Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Mack designs and leads a robust fundraising strategy that aids the Museum's operations and capital endeavors. Collaborating closely with the Museum's Board of Trustees and executive team, he focuses on sourcing funds through institutional, government, and individual channels, while also managing an annual budget of roughly $1 million from private fundraising. Mack's leadership extends to supervising staff and consultants, and he's recognized as a key member of the museum’s senior leadership team.

Mack’s mission remains unchanged: to drive sustainable and transformative change within underserved communities. His visionary leadership, combined with strategic prowess and a deep-seated passion, continues to inspire and shape a brighter, more inclusive future.
